The Strategy of Ship of Theseus

In the next decade, the aging of peripheral body systems will be largely addressed through rejuvenative approaches already advanced in development. However, the aging of the brain will remain the ultimate challenge to extending human life. Trends suggest that by 2040, the majority of long-aged humans will die from neurodegeneration. We cannot simply replace old neurons with fresh neurons; we must preserve the coordinated synaptic structure of the brain in order to preserve who we are as we age - our personality, our memories, our cognitive abilities.

Ship of Theseus is building the first comprehensive multimodal data corpus characterizing the living, dynamic human synapse network, and from this corpus, a verifiably predictive foundation model to generate truly effective therapeutic programs for neurodegenerative disease and brain longevity.
